I have seen that before with Dazzle. See if there is an update to take care of that. I tossed that software package and went with Studio, which is much better - that is also a Pinnacle product.

Note: The S-Video cables are not compatible with the redesigned Super Nintendo. They are sold separately at most retail locations as well as nintendo's Online Store.
Installation Steps: Locate the Audio/Video inputs on the back of the TV or VCR. Place the black end of the S-Video Cable into the S-Video IN on the back of the TV or VCR. Connect the red end of the cable to Audio IN Right.Connect the white end of the cable to the Audio IN Left. Use a slight twistingmotion when inserting the each cable and ensure the cables are firmly pressed into the input. Connect the rectangular (gray) plug of the S-Video cable into the multi-out connector on the back of the Control Deck. After system is connected to the TV or VCR: Insert Game Pak fully into the Control Deck. Plug the controller(s) into the front of the Control Deck using the left-most port for one-player games. Plug the AC Adapter into the back of the Control Deck. Plug the other end into a wall outlet. Set the VCR's TV/VCR button to VCR. You can put a movie in the VCR, press Play, make sure the movie appears on your TV, then press Stop. This puts your VCR into VCR mode. Slide the Power Switch on (toward the Game Pak). Turn on the VCR and locate the input select. It's often called: input select, AUX auxiliary), Line, Line In, Input, Source, Select, In, or EXT (external). Switch the input select to show the Nintendo game. The game image should now be displayed on the screen. You're ready to play! To record video games, set the system up to play games as usual, then insert a video tape and press Record. It's that easy!
You can connect VCR, TV and converter box using coaxial cables OR you can connect using RCA cables. See this web page: http://columbiaisax.googlepages.com/diagram_dtv_tv_vcr.htm Using RCA cables, make sure you connect the yellow video cable. Select the proper input on the TV.
If yo can't see any picture please check your video cable connection. >checked if the video cable is properly connected from dazzle to your camcorder. >if you connect you camcorder, vhs,VCR using S-video then go ahead and click on option on step number 1 click on video input and then click on S-Video click also VHS input and then click okay. >If RCA the same thing click on option then video input and then select Composite. >Turn your camcorder,VHS,VCR on and then hit played button. >checked your preview screen if the video image is now showing, If showing then start recording.
there is an input or input select button that gives you cable, hdmi and video composite,to run the vcr. hook up cable and put the tv on channel3 to make sure that works first, then play with the rca cables. keep in mind a tape has to be playing, the new tv have a signal sense circuit,if there is just "snow" you get a blue screen
Alot of times you have to back up the TV to something like LINE 1 or LINE 2. It will not show up with the TV on channel 3. When I attached my VCR, I hit input and line 1 and 2 came up and then the DVD player would play just fine. Try that.
First thing- why not just use the HDMI instead of standard def cables in the first place?
Anyway-
If the RCA-video (yellow composite cable) is not producing color, 1 of 2 things may be wrong:
1. You accidentally connected the a/v cables [yellow white and red] to [red green and blue] component inputs or vice versa, or..
2. Your TV or DVD player is somehow set to the wrong video format. Check the DVD settings for video output format and video connector type. Format should be NTSC, and connector should be composite and/or s-video for the cables you're using.
If this is only happening when connecting the DVD player through the VCR, then check to make sure the same cables connecting the DVD player to the the VCR are also connected to the TV from the VCR.
BTW- if this is just to record DVDs to a VCR, I'll tell you it's not worth it. If your DVD player has an HDMI port, your picture quality will be so much better than if you're watching a VCR copy of one. Your new HDTV will look worse than an old standard def TV. Worse; I'm not kidding.
I hope some of this helps.
I successfully connected the ASD-3W to the Denon 3808CI using the supplied AV/Control cables (dock control, L & R audio, S-video). I used the video and audio input connectors marked VCR (iPod) on the 3808CI and used the default settings. I used the connector marked Dock Control for the control cable. These VCR (iPod) connectors are different than the input connectors marked VCR. I turned the source selector to VCR/iPod Stereo and operated the GUI using the ASD-3W remote control. I was able to play music and video.
