Toshiba mo# 20AF44/xbox360 ISSUE

When I try to set my xbox 360 to the HDTV mode that I believe is supported by this tv all I get is a garbled pic with lines in various colors. Any suggestions? Additionally, when I watch movies from my computer on a different input (s-video) the pic is fine but I get a horizontal line across the screen. I believe it has to do with the refresh rate and the H-hold. Problem is I don't have the original remote or the manual this tele was a gift. Suggestions for correcting the prob?

Re: Toshiba mo# 20AF44/xbox360 ISSUE

Just because a TV has RGB component inputs does not mean
HI-Def will work......Component range = 480 to 720 to 1080....

You can download owners manual off
click on HDTV then click customer support....owners manual.

With a universal remote control, you can't make a system reset to it. If you have its original remote control, you can. You have to enter its service mode option to do this. For more information go to

Your console has the RROD, it needs to be reflowed by a PROFESSIONAL, not some kid with a heat-gun!!! It is IMPOSSIBLE to repair a BGA with a heat-gun!!

"NOT SUPPORTED MODE" when using my xbox 360

If you got that while playing it sounds like its your GPU melting... when the older xbox360s get hot the circuit starts to warp and sag in the middle.. the causes the GPU to seperate from the board which gives you wierd or no graphics... ppl suggest "the towel trick" wrapping you xbox in a towel to overheat it in hopes it will reconnect the GPU.. otherwise there is very little you can do.. just hope MS will repair it for you or buy a new one.. i have the same problem at the moment with my friends old one.. so im currently working on a solution.. will try and let you guys know if i find something that works...

Toshiba mo#20af44 hooking up 360 xbox

As far as I'm aware, the only way to switch inputs on the TV is by using the Toshiba remote--there aren't buttons on the TV itself to do it. Which means unfortunately, if nothing on your universal remote will do so and you don't have the Toshiba remote (either to use or to reprogram your universal remote with), you may be out of luck.

Game mode on tv

If you have a HDTV then you need to change the resolution to 720i or 720p to support the XBox 360 HD video. If you have a standard TV (non-HD) then you'll need to change your XBox 360's video settings to non-HD. The problem sounds like your mixing up HD video signal. I really need more info about your TV. Is it HD? Or regular?

Xbox 360 screen cut off on left side

Ok, I've had the same issue and I was able to fix my problem. I was getting cut off sides in HD mode on my playstation.

I entered the service menu by doing this:

Turn TV Off
Use remote and hit "Mute 1 8 2 Power" (not at the same time, but one after the other)

The TV will come on with the service menu. Enter the 1080i adjustment screen. Write down ALL the values in case you mess up. Adjust the values as necessary to fit your screen. It's sort of like adjusting a computer monitor's image for different resolutions.

Hit me if this helps... mlager at sysnosis dot com
