Difficult time programing remote (by 2 users)

got a 4225m with no remote, tried using a radio shack one for 12 bucks but codes don't seem to work, just got a time warner cable box and remote and still cannot access akai tv remote code.

i'm having the same problem. i've a scott tv (made by akai) and the time warner box 4250hdc connected with an hdmi cable
