My computer was attacked by some viruses and so, needed some reformatting. I can't find my video card installer. It is ATI 9200SE/M6D12820JY -- that's what exactly is written on my VC. I tried to download driver from ati.com but it didn't work. help please.

- Yes, I have downloaded the package. When I try to install it, it says,

"Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software."

Here are some information on my product:

ATI 9200SE/M6D12820JY
2031212605504138

This is what is shown on the screen at first boot:

ATI VGA BIOS
ATI Version 1.04.02

Please when I ask questions below it is not a reflection on you. I cannot see what is readily apparent to you with the information, hardware, etc before you. So I either need to inform you enough to make a reasonable decision or to be able to ask a question with enough detail I can provide a reliable answer.

If this video card was factory original equipment I tend to prefer to go to the computer manufacturer's site to get the drivers, etc. For other drivers you need you may want to do the same. If you need assistance please provide the manufacturer and model of your computer and I will assist in finding a site to download those drivers for you, if available and most are.

You indicated you downloaded a driver. The link to Windows XP on the AMD/ATI suite i used indicates a suite providing two drivers and a software application -- did you download the entire package. Did you download it from AMD/ATI requesting the proper Operating System? Link below

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

Did you follow installation instructions such as these that were on the page for Windows XP that specify the removal of all ati software before starting the installation of the new software?

http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=20870

If you cannot resolve the issue with the above information or need assistance please add a comment to this problem. Describe what worked and what did not and the additional information requested and I will attempt to provide additional information and steps to resolve this issue.

- Check the link is your card an Asus 9200SE built with ATI chips? 2nd item is a 128 -- If so there is a download button on the page.

http://www.asus.com/search.aspx?searchitem=1&searchkey=9200se

Also the 102 part number test may proove that ATI did not build the card only the chips.
