Hi. It sounds like you have an iPod Nano 3rd generation? First thing I would try to do is to disconnect the iPod from your computer (unless it already is), then hold down the Menu button on the iPod wheel (the upper space on it) followed by holding down the Selection button on the iPod wheel (the center button). After holding down these two buttons for 2-6 seconds, it should try to restart again. I would recommend trying to reconnect the iPod to your computer again after doing so, while iTunes is open on your computer. Good luck, I hope it fixes your problem.
you will need to reset your ipod this will not delete songs.

the ipod of the 4th generation does only charge in USB mode and the Harman & kardon speaker only supports I link charge mode(fire wire 1394) so i bought an awsome sounding machine wich does not charge my ipod nano.
however i must say that i have a solution, when you put the USB cable in the back of the H&K, you can charge the nano with a charging device of an ipod.
