Hi, I have a Windmaster, which you might be familiar with. It detects Wind Speed, Temperature, Altitude etc etc, I have had it for a while, stuffed in an old drawer, as the baterry ran out. To cut a long story short, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to activate the hourly chime. Would you be able to help me with any suggestions? Cheers, Dave

The manual for the 45/7042 is elusive. Like the Unicorn and Bigfoot, people can tell you what it looks like, but they have never seen it. To turn on/off the hourly chime, press and hold the top left button (you should see the alarm). While holding down the top left button, pressing the bottom left button should turn the hourly chime on/off. This appears to be indicated by the days of the week turning on/off.
It is so simple. I struggled with this forever then called customer service. To turn off the hourly chime just press the bottom right (wave/reset) button while in the normal time/tide screen. You do not need to go through all of the modes. Just one button press from the home screen. When you see the target icon disappear you have done it.
to turn off hourly chime on the times wr 30m, simply press (in any mode, i just use the regular clock mode) the start/stop button (top right hand button) once (for about half a second).
if you don't hear anything, you've turned off the hourly chime! if you hear two short beeps, you've turned on the hourly chime. turning the chime off/on is cyclic. if you press once and hear nothing, it's off. if you press again, you'll hear two beeps and the hourly chime is now on. a lot of times that button hits my wrist (i wear it on my left hand) by accident, and that's how the chime turns on and off. i hope this helps someone.
