I have a HP Pavilion a384x desktop computer and today it froze on me. In attempt to get back to what I was doing before I just turned my computer off and then on using the power button but now the darn thing won't even boot up, which really scares the heck out of me. Now when I turn my computer on I hear 8 beeps, the first two are really short and the last six are spaced out evenly about every half second, and then it never boots up. I'm running on Windows XP and I know there's space on my hard drive because I deleted +1 GB of data from it yesterday. I have a 160 GB drive. What's wrong with my PC? Did my hard drive crash?
