I have hitachi dz-mv780e and its door opens by itself whenever I turn it on ! or put dvd in it ! I just cant close the door ! access/pc red light keeps on lightin any help plz ?

There is a faulty loading setting in the mechanism and so when the power is switched the motor moves to eject and do not come to the PARK/REST position.
So you will need to open the camcorder to reset the mechanism. check inside of the tray for any objects that have fallen into and blocked the drives. Keeping the door open tap on the body to release any objects.

Power button not working! cannot copy videos to my pc because i cant switch the power button to play mode...please HELP

The Power switch assembly can be replaced on your camera fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to usually be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

If this response has been of any help to you, please be sure and give a positive vote for me on F

I got the code C:31:22 flashing on the screen. what should i do?

this error pertains to one of the reels (the thing that turns the tape)is most likely you'll be having issues w/recording,playing,fast forwarding or rewinding the can try RESET (press the reset button located inside and beside the eject button in the tape compartment cover, while cam is on).if it doesn't work try POWER RESET (turn cam off, remove the batt, make sure the ac adaptor is not connected.turn power switch to camera or player, and leave w/o power for at least a minute.turn power switch back to off and reinsert batt.check if working).if still you get the error, repair might be needed.hope this helps.thanks:)

Lcd buttons wont work

I believe this is a main board problem. IF you still have a warranty you should send the camera back to sony. You dont believe you can turn the lcd buttons off. You can turn off the button clicks so it doesnt make any noise but you cannot turn off the buttons on the lcd.
