It's no problem at all to get them back. Do not take any more pictures, and remove the card from the camera to lessen the chance of you overwriting some important pictures or videos. there is a software called NTFS (many more in internet)to generate and recover the deleted files. you can google search for a software which is free to try. connect the memory card to your computer via a memory card reader and use the software to recover the deleted images.
Yes, you can get them back...but ONLY if you have not taken any pictures after you formated the camera. There are programs out there that use data recovery to get your pictures back, but like I said, If you have taken pictures on your camera after you did the format...nothing will work.
