Question about Lexmark P350 InkJet Photo Printer

White "tire tracks" on printed photos

I just put a new ink cartridge in my p350 and afer printing about five pictures, they started coming out with four parallel pairs of white lines. Looking into the printer with a light, I can see the four sets of metal points that line up with the tracks, but do not know what to do about it. I cleaned the cartridge, adjusted the cartridge, checked all the default presets, turned the printer off and on all to no avail. Any ideas?
thanks

Hey Pete i know you posted your question along time ago, but if you still come to the site and read this. I have the exact same problem, and i was observing it for quite a few times and i do not think the solution is to replace the cartridge as i did that and nothing changed. I think what's happening is those little white points are pressing down on the paper too much while the paper is still wet from printing and they kind of leave those white marks. I do not know how to solve it but i thought i would let you know what i think is happening.
Sorry can't be much help.

Canon mg5200 only prints photos

I have an MP540 and it says..."The PIXMA MP540 runs on five ink cartridges, with a photo black as well as a pigmented black for text printing" so it sounds like pigmented is for text and dye for pics. So maybe your default settings are showing high quality, photo or the paper type is causing the printer to select high quality...just a thought!

How do i change an ink cartrige in a canon 160 printe

The Canon Pixma inkjet printer is an all-in-one printer, scanner and copier capable of printing high-resolution photos. One handy feature is a slot for a memory card so you print photographs directly from your camera. It can also print completely without any border for full-sheet photos. Printing photos and other high-fidelity documents uses up ink more quickly, and you will probably need to replace at least one of your cartridges every three to six months, a process that should take you about three to five minutes.

1.urn on the printer and check the LCD screen for an indication of which ink cartridges are low. Note that recycled ink cartridges sometimes read "Ink low" even when they still have ink, so print a test page if you're not sure.

2.Expose the ink tray by lifting the entire LCD control panel, which is attached to the underside of the copier tray.

3.Pull out the used ink cartridge by pulling straight up from the print head, and dispose of them safely and carefully by putting them in a sealed bag.

4.Remove gently any packaging from the new ink, after giving it a few shakes. Pull off the protective tab on the cartridge, insert the new cartridge into the print head and push down until you feel a click. Close the printer lid and let the printer reset the ink tray.

5.Print a test page to make sure the new ink works. If it doesn't, you may have forgotten to remove the protective tab under the cartridge.

Have put new cartridges in and only prints yellow lines

Remove all cartridges, make sure any tape has been removed from over the nozzle. Ensure that everything has been installed properly, then use your printer (prompts on device, or in printer>control panel) to print some test pages, realign heads, etc.

Just printed a photo using the ip4700 & it has come out red/orange/white. Does this mean I need new ink cartridges already as I've printed about 50 photos to date since I purchased the printer new....

you may try to replace your ink cartridge for a quick solution, if it still fails to print correctly, your print head nozzles may have dried up and clogged.

I haven't used my canon pixma for a few weeks, came to use it again and the 3e black cartridge won't work, (tried printing from computer and copying) have done a clean, deep clean and nozzle check, even...

The black print head is clogged. The reason why the black is clogged and not the photo black or any colors is that the black is pigment ink and the photo black and colors are dye based ink. The pigment ink is a particulate formulation that binds up when water is evaporated out of the ink. You need to buy a new print head the fix the problem. You can buy a new print head for $75 from precision roller.com.

its ok I solved it! I didn't realise that all the photo cartridge does is gloss over the colour picture produced by the colour cartridge. I simply had to replace the colour cartridge which had run out, so now its all working perfectly!!

Photo printing

What program are you using to print out photos?
Try to take the ink cartridge out and put it back in.
Go to this link, instructions on how to replace ink cartridges
http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/cx66__/cx66__pg.pdf
And then try to print. If you have the same problem, try to use another program that you can print pictures from.

Printing from wrong cartridge

Basically on that issue try to adjust the settings on the printing mechanism, maybe your settings when printed a photo is just for a black and white,,but usually host cartridges that comes in the box, have little amount of ink its just for testing the product if it works fine..or try to go to control panel, printer and faxes, right click on the icon->properties->print test page...after that on the same process again go to printing preferences and try to clean the cartridge.okiez...hope this can solve the issue....have a nice day!!!
