It has been a while since i turned on my hard disk.When i wanted to use it,i plugged in both cable, the light blink abnormally and the computer won't detect the hardware. There was no icon in My Computer, i tried to turned it off using power button but there's no response.The cable has no problem at all because i used it to connect my camera, my computer was able to detect it.

Try connecting the MyBook to some other computer.
If it does not work, then the unit is "dead".
If it still is under warranty, Western Digital will replace it, for free.
