Re: White out

Take the monitor back where you bought it from.

Sounds like the main board or the LCD panel have gone bad.

What does it mean when i turn my laptop on the screen is white.

I can't tell you what it means but it happened to my laptop this morning.
After reading tons of "solutions" nothing worked. Finally, I turned it off, went grocery shopping for a couple of hours and when I came home and turned it back on and it seems to be fine.
I am, however, going to make a recovery disk like the computer has been suggesting since I got it.

Princeton 19" went from bright white to dull white

david78910, First disconnect and reconnect the monitors VGA plug from pc vga port a few times to make sure of good connection at the port. Report back here with results! If that doesn't fix your "pink screen" symptom, then possible bad inverter supply inside unit or the CCFL tubes may have lots and lots of "on" hours use on them and need to be replaced. Yes, you could also have bad (almost dead) switch-mode-power-supply inside unit if "known-good" monitor works perfectly with your pc. 12fixlouie

Monitor went white

check by unplugging it from your cpu, is it still white or it changes colors, in case it is still white then monitor is to be replaced or else issue is with your graphics card

Samtron 73v white screen

you need to have some one open the flat panel up and check the capacitors on the vga/ inverter card and see if they are domed shaped if so then you have blown capacitors and they are not a difficult fix but pricey as the electronics guys don't come cheap

NEC LCD1712 Monitor Not Working I am having a rather peculiar issue with my NEC LCD1712 which I am currently using as my secondary monitor. It works perfectly fine as I boot up the computer. It displays "welcome to windows!" and all that jazz. However, once I log in, it reverts to just a black screen. I believe it says "no signal input". I am not sure when it started, but I noticed that the display of my primary monitor was shifted over to the right for some reason. I started messing with my graphics card's software "Catalyst Control Center". I used the "restore factory defaults" option and it rendered my NEC monitor black. Thank God my primary monitor was just fine and I was able to fix the image shift later. However, now I cannot for the life of me find a way to get my secondary monitor back up and running. All of my drivers are up to date. I have tried adjusting the resolution and refresh rate of the monitor. I have tried duplicating the displays and making adjustments with my primary monitor. If I only have my primary monitor plugged in on startup, it will behave the same (display up until the log in screen and then blackness). I find this problem to be both peculiar and extremely frustrating. If anyone out there has a solution, it would be greatly appreciated.
