Canon A70 LCD screen has gone blank. use to be

as the previous poster mentions, you first need to determine if it's just the lcd display or if it's something else in the camera related to the CCD imager.

if you take photos, then put them on your computer and they are fine, then that means it's just the lcd.

i have the a720IS and literally just replaced my lcd screen today. i called canon directly and got a replacement lcd for less than $30 shipped.

there's an excellent guide on the whole lcd replacement process at a few of these sites. i used them and within 10 minutes of getting my new lcd, had my camera back to normal.
