This Hitachi 42HDT51 Ultravision has a separate Audio Video controller box that is connected via cables to the plasma display. When you power up the TV the controller box goes to standby (normal). When you switch on the display, the audio video controller just sits there and clicks - almost like a power relay issue. Neither the set nor the video controller goes green to main power. That is the best I can describe the issue.
