right click on "My Computer"
Go to properties
go to Advanced system settings
then Advanced tab
then startup and recoverty "settings"
untick time to display list of operating systems or change that figure to "0"

yes most likely it died altogether, overheating cpu can be a hazzardto most laptop. its always good to blow air thru the vent to keep it working a long time.

Take the battery off and there are 3 screws with a picture of a keyboard next to them. remove them and then lift up the keyboard from the top and carefully pull it out. Be careful because it is still connected to the laptop, remove the connection. there are 2 push clams one on the left and one on the right of the connection strip. after you remove that your ready to go.

The error codes which represent the # 300 or above usually indicate that the issue might be with the Hard Drive or the RAM Modules.
You may first try performing the Hardware Diagnostics and check for any issues with the Hard Drive or RAM Modules.
If the issue still persists, it would be better to get the Unit examined at the Service Center.

If that is the max your current video card will do then your kinda hooped. Most video cards are part of the laptop motherboard and can't be changed out without changing the motherboard..... which means a new laptop.
