My camera canot take picture and focus adjustment, always showing error E:61:00 (sony cybershotdsc t-70 model )

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

To solve Error E:61:00, Follow the given solution:-

Put the camera about a half inch from a hard surface.
Let the lens go out and hit the surface and retract a little bit. Let it go out all the way when it tries the next time.
If that doesn't fix it, try this:
Turn it on and let the lens go out fully
See where the lens comes out of the camera? The little round crack that surrounds it? Wiggle the lens a bit and blow in there a bit. (Be sure not to blow on the lens!)

Now turn it off/on again, and it should be fixed

My camera wont turn on it beeps 3 times. its stuck a bit open. it went like this from taking pictures it was not dropped and its past its warranty date.

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.

Blurry images (after a lens error)

There is a mechanical displacement in your camera. Definitely, it is not a software problem. Actually Digi Cams are very delicate, especially small ones.... So get it serviced from a authorised service station. They will fix the problem....

Dropped the Camera, Lens is stuck open

I already tried posting this but I think it falied. Just in case, here it is again!

I just now fixed my own Nikon S220 (very similar to 210) which suffered the same fate as yours. However, I laid my camera down on a cushioned foot-rest (you could use a couch cushion or pillow on a table) with the lens facing UP, pressed down on both sides of lens front gently yet firmly, and BAM, the lens went back in all the way. I turned the power back on and the camera is good as new (except for the small dent from the fall of course).

I suggest you try this before spending $100 on repairs and/or buying a new camera!

Nikon coolpix p50, lense error, camera won't work lens stuck.

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

When i turn on my camera it says Turn the power off and on again

Have the same problem, went to Sony Service Center but the price they ask for the repair is almost the price of a brand new digicam. I went back home extremely dissapointed.
Then I borrowed one contact cleaner (electronic spray cleaner) from a friend and tried spraying the the lens while it is drawing back and forth, kept it warm a for a while. At first, got scared when the lens totally jammed when i tried to turn it on, then i tried throwing it on the carpet floor (2 feet height) several times. And wallah it works...

Be extra careful when throwing and make sure that the LCD face is NOT the one hitting the floor to avoid damage on the LCD (Technique: throw it in a circular horizontal motion, like throwing a freezebee). The camera should be OFF when you throw it. Be extra careful not to spray excessive amount or it may give stain on the inner side of the LCD.

It seems that a tiny (dirt) particle has got inside its mechanism which cause the malfunction. I got this throwing thing advice from some of the user on the web which are having the same problem. Unfortunately, in my case we need a little help from a Contact Cleaner. This throwing things really work in this type of problem...
