- treminaled into a server, network printer 2844Z hooked up via network cable, i can see the printer as a choice but the print button is greyed out Thanks for your help!

Need more info...are you terminaled into a server or desktop, is the printer a network printer hooked up via a network cable or is it shared via a pc it is connected to. In the terminal services manager, does everyone have permission in session to use the printer (manage print jobs), do the users see the printer as available in their term session?

Terminal Services should map to a local printer, you will need some adjustment to the Terminal Services manager to set the map to the server to which the printer is attached.
