Making the connections is not beyond my competence. I just need to know which connectors on the V75-516S are equivalent to the LNC connectors on the V75-101

The wiring's can be confusing some times and most times in the event of getting it wrong, you might develop another electrical fault. Get a certified Auto Repairs man to fix this. It would cost you less than $80.

Tv problem troubleshooting

See if the issue is on all inputs, press the input button on the remote even if you can't see anything and see if it improves. If so, just don't use that one input. Try unplugging it for 24 hours and try again. If neither helps the TV most likely needs serviced by an authorized tech, and that can get pricey, you may be better replacing the TV.

What are the inlets marked Y PB & PR for

Those depending on the set are COMPONENT, SIMPLY: y IS video, the other two are blue and red chroma with video---they are used depending on how marked and the set for COMPONENT type inputs and or HD inputs.

Some sets they are HD and others they are not---if HD they will also be marked 1080 etc.

If you have an issue or need help let me know.

I have just acquired an armstrong 222 valave amp. there are no markings or colours on the speaker inputs, so nothing to tell me which inputs are used for the left and right speakers...there are two columns...

Each terminal powers one speaker. Put one on one side of the room and one on the other. It's up to you which goes where.

The front panel balance control designates the two 'sides' as A and B. I'll bet 'A' is the left connector as viewed from the back. But it hardly matters.

Also on the front panel is a selector knob with 5 positions:

1 ON
2 Pickup Mono
3 Pickup Stereo
4 Tape
5 Radio

I'm betting the 4 pairs of inputs correspond exactly to the position 2 through 5.

The two marked 'Pickup' are for turntable sources.

The two marked '4' and '5' are for any standard Line Level (non-Phono) source, not necessarily the two named.

No signal and no sound.

Possible failure of the Tuner, the Sound processing section- SIF, the audio power output.

A signal feed to the tuner and signal path is needed to confirm the faulty section and component.
If there is sound and vision in the inputs- video&audio inputs in AUX., then it can be confirmed.

I have a low hum with my Carver M 400 amp. How do

If it is accros both channels (on every imput) your best bet is to replace the large electrolytic capacitors in the power supply, these filter out the 50/60 Hz hum from the mains, so they might have failed. Electrolytic capacitors anywhere are good at causing hum!
If they are say 4700UF at 50Volts, you can replace them with any UF rating higher than that, and the same with the voltage. Never go lower than the ratings marked. Also keep an eye out for the temperature rating. It will be given marked "c". If it says 105C then replace with one the same, though it will work with a lower rating it will fail faster than normal. The only problem with electrolytic capacitors is 'space' to fit as they come in many different sizes. So bare that in mind when you a tracking down replacements.

I plugged the red, white, yellow audio/video cables into the front jacks on my Sony Vega. They are marked input 2. When I turn the TV to all inputs, including input 2, I just get the black screen. When I...

Sounds like you have the Wii hooked up properly. I would suggest trying the other inputs on the TV just to be sure input 2 isn't faulty.

After trying the other inputs if the Wii still won't show any video then try another set of cables and after that if the video can't come up then the Output from the Wii is bad and the main board would have to be replaced.

Diamond Vision DVD/CD Player Model: DVDV 809-03

They are Audio and video inputs that go onto the same colored jacks on the tv (if tv is too old, try using the vcr or rf modulator)
