You will need to take to a shop and have the technician adjust the carburetor. Plus I recommend mixing your fuel mixture at 40:1(3.2 oz 2 cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas) instead of the 50:1(2.6 oz 2 cycle oil to 1 gallon of gas). If your fuel mixture is over 30 days old, it is considered bad gas.
All the manufacturers I have heard from this year have made this knowledge known.
Good Day.

Will only stay running on full choke

Your fuel is likely stale (replace all of the fuel, including the fuel in the gas can that you used to fill the trimmer), and/or your air filter needs to be cleaned.

Lacks power, choke will not go full

some of you guys really ask bad questions, provide little details so don't be suprised if no one can give you a answer. i don;t know try draining the old stale fuel out and replenishing with fresh, check basic stuff like clogged air filter, or in line plugged fuel line. the thing needs fuel, air and spark to run in the proper amount, test the plug too for fouling and proper gap. but sound like its likely a fuel problem

Cant remember how to start my g100 wacker. Can pull the starter cord but forget where the little knobs need to be turned to

I am not familiar with your model but general rules are as follows. 1 - make sure that the gas'oil mixture is the right ratio and that the fuel is not stale. 2 - Depress the little rubber primer bulb 4-6 times, or until yor see little bubbles through the bulb. 3 - Rotate the choke lever to Full and pull the starter cord until the engine tries to start. 4 - Rotate the chole lever to Half and pull the starter cord until the engine starts.5 - After the engine warms up, rotate the choke lever to Run or Open so that the engine runs smoothly.

My RYBOI C-430 only runs on full choke & half

Hi, a classic carb fault. first job is to make sure you have fresh fuel mix, stale fuel will cause all sorts of hiccups. If that fails your carb is in need of stripping and cleaning. This may be a job for your local repair shop as they can be tricky for the unfamiliar, also repair shops will be able to clean it in an ultra sonic tank. Hope this helps,

Starts and runs only full choke

plugged fuel system, usually from bad or old stale fuel, remember that gas that is 30 days old is considered "bad" and needs to be disposed of. depending on what you paid for the blower it might be cost prohibitive to repair, but if you are repair worthy and for about 15 dollars for a carb kit and fuel lines you can have her going like new again. hope this helps good luck!

Choke when warm

The old gas might have done the unit in!
Stale fuel is MUCH more susceptible to pre-ignition and detonation and could possibly have ruined the rings/piston/cylinder.
The symptom you describe is, without a doubt, an engine suffering from fuel starvation.
The quick and easy check? Set the unit on the ground and grab the starter rope and try to pick the saw up using only the rope handle. Good compression should support the weight of the saw.
If it fails that test, pull the muffler off and check the piston/rings/walls for scoring. If it looks ugly, it's cooked.
If not, go back to the fuel supply. Fuel lines are especially suspect when old gas has contacted them. Lightly pressurizing the fuel line and flexing it might reveal tiny holes and/or cracks that would cause a starvation condition. Check fuel filter while you're in there!
Finally, open the carb and check the inlet screen directly opposite of the inlet needle. Hold it up to light to VERIFY that it isn't swollen shut. (Another problem caused by stale fuel.) Check that the diapragm is soft and pliable and has no holes.

Hope this helps,
Dolf-

Stalls out at full throttle

Has the air filter been removed, damaged, or the airbox not seated propelry on the carbs neck, this would cause it to run lean hence requiring the choke to be in operation all the time. Have you tried fresh fuel?? This goes stale after a while. I hope this is helpful, Ian

1998 honda shadow will not start

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, a few possibilities you may want to check/explore:
  • stale gasoline;
  • clogged fuel filter (inside the tank above the fuel shutoff valve;
  • clogged, bocked, varnished, gummed carbs, jets, air pin holes;
  • stuffed air filter/box;
  • vacuum leak (rubber coupling, manifold side);
  • air leak (airbox base assembly seated/fitted on the carbs.
Basically, a general cleanup of the fuel lines, tank and the carbs. Sitting for some time tends to leave varnish like coating on most parts.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
