Thermostat is set to HOLD. Why doesn't the air conditioner turn on?

You need to look at the mode setting. It should have a selection for heat, cool, and maybe auto. If it is set to heat the air will not turn on. I needs to be set to cool or auto if you have it.

If the thermostat is wired correctly, and matched to the type of heat you have ie electric, heat pump, boiler, forced air, gas or oil, the heat should run in either Fan ON or AUTO. Maybe you can explain your system a little more in depth...furnace type, M#, & thermostat brand w/ M#.

Automatic pilot light wont light on a honeywell furnace

Honeywell is a controls company and makes a variety of auto-pilots. If this is a no spark problem, does the lead from the igniter go to a big PC board or a module. If a module, check voltage to the spark module or thermostat voltage to the ignition module. If it comes from a large board, the board may be bad. I'll need more Info. if this does not cover it for you.

There is a Honeywell model RTH2300B1012, which is what I think you're talking about.
The Honeywell website has the owners manual for that model available online at:http://customer.honeywell.com/Honeywell/getliterature.axd?LiteratureID=69-2448ES.pdf

Want to replace analog Honeywell thermostat with digital

Your system uses 24 volts and that thermostat should work. You should only have a two wire system and that should work using the RH and W connection on the thermostat. My personal opinion about that thermostat...I don't like it. It will timeout for 15 minutes after furnace does not fire up. I deal with this thermostat all the time because that is what they install in the new homes. I always have to pull it off the wall, remove the batteries and wait for it to completely drain power becuase it does not have a reset switch. Very irritating...Might be too complicated for your application.
