Can My FC 350 A used 28 degree nails

The manual for your gun specifies 34-degree nails from 2 to 3 1/2 inches long. 28-degree, wire collated nails are a Stanley-Bostitch thing and they only work in their nail guns, they will not work in your nail gun. You need 34-degree, paper-tape collated nails. I know Senco framing nails will work in your gun and I think Duo-fast makes 34-drgree nails but check that before buying them.

FR350 won't shoot nails

Normally I would say you aren't using enough air pressure because somewhere around 80psi (every tool is different) will not be enough to fully retract the driver. At 110 you are fine so that is not the case. I doubt it is broken because a broken driver will still retract unless it broke near the piston. My guess is it needs the o-rings replaced but you can pull the top head and pull the driver out first to make sure. Parts and breakdowns can be found here as DeWalt owns Porter Cable.

I have a porter cable fr 350 an it says to use 22 degree nails it i have always used 21 degree nails in it will this hurt the gun

There are many different brands of nails sold for your gun. Nail companies try to sell nails to fit as many different guns as possible in one box(will range a few degrees). I have found that the stated angle is not always exact. To determin the best nail for your gun, place a strip of nails on the outside of the rails with top of the strip of nails (nail heads) aligned with rails. Now slide the nails forware to the centerline of the path of the driver. If a perfect fit, the first nail will align with the rails and the path of the driver. Note if the bottom of the nail is ahead of the nail head. If this is the case the driver will not hit squarely on the head of the nail. If the head is in line with the driver but the shaft of the nail angles back toward the rails, the nail may jam against the nose. Use your best judgement when buying nails. If you have not had a jam, keep using the nails, however test the nail as described above for good fit. Good luck

Jammed nail gun fc350a

Nail guns will jam when driving nails thru very hard wood, solid objects, allowing the gun to double fire hitting the first nail or using the wrong nails(amoung some of the reasons, you get the idea that jamming is common) . There is no special tool to help in case of jam. You must be creative. I use an old driver shaft from nailer that easily fits into the nose of the gun (you can grind a piece of allen wrench to fit into nose and allow space for the stuck nail). The metel that you use must be very hard and strike with heavy copper or brass hammer (caution, steel hammer may splinter metal, use protective gear ). You will need to strike very hard to remove some stuck nails. If first or second strike results in no movement of driver, remove the head and cylinder of the nailer and place the body of the gun squarely on piece of plywood over concete floor (this will protect the head of the nailer from being damaged). Worst case, you will need to remove the rails. Good luck.

FR350 nailer ram does not fully retract. Lubed ram and it worked most of the time for the next clip of nails. Now it is back where it started, retracting about two thirds of the way, not enough to get...

Did you rebuild the tool? If not remove all the nails and unplug air, BUMP nose on piece of wood and does driver fall down? If so the pistion o ring needs to be replaced. Also if this is not the case look for a jammed nail in the magazine/nose area. Next check for a bent driver blade. All the above could cause your problem

Hello i have a mildly used FR350 round head framing nailer. the problem is that it will shoot two or three nails then jam up? thanks todd

This gun is very reliable unless tip is broken or miss-shaped and or wrong nails are being used. Depending on model # could be clip head or full round. For best results do not use generic nails because they are not the exact angle required. Place a strip of nails on outside of rails with nail-heads aligned with edge of rails. The first nail should align with path of the driver (place a straight edge alighed with path of driver). Most generic nails do not align correctly. Good luck

I have an FR350 PC nailer and I have a nail jamed in the noise piece between the housing and the driver. Do you have a suggestion?

Remove with a pair of plyers. If that does not work use a nail punch and drive the drive pin back into the gun until the nail comes free.
