No.You might not have a reliable service provider or you might just be in a area in which t.v. signals are hard and or impossilbe to recive. You might also have the cable box,or just cables, mixed up.Hope it helped.

Vizio d-series 32" smart tv find channels using my antenna

On the remote, press the "MENU" button to go to the "Menu" screen, select "TV Settings" with the arrow keys, and press the "OK" button. Then go to "Device Setup" and press "OK". Go to "Input Source" and press the arrow keys until "Antenna" appears, then press "OK".

Select the "Tuner" option and press "OK". You may see an option to scan channels. Select it and press "OK". The TV will scan both analog and digital channels and can take an hour to scan all. Just wait and watch the "Found channel" count. If it does not increment, your antenna may be bad or not connected correctly.

The Vizio tuner is good enough to find over 14 digital channels with a cheap $10 flat digital antenna taped to my window.

HOW DO I GET A CHANNEL ON MY TV AND GET THE MESSAGE "NO SIGNAL" OFF THE SCREEN?

If it shows "No Signal" it means it. It do not get any signal to display. Check all the settings. Refer its user manual for details. First, try to tune it to on-air program, by do an auto-tune function, after connecting it to an external antenna. Refer its user manual for more details. If it do receive all the channels transmitted, means, the set is OK, and the fault will be with the input selection, you've done. OK?

In just bought new Toshiba regza 40" Lcd tv and auto tuned it, but the picture is terible , snowy and colours are not good, what to do...

Hello
First of all reset the TV. for that

press and hold the POWER button
on the TV control panel for 5 or more seconds to reset the TV.
Then connect the TV tt any source like outdoor areiel or cable box etc, select the appropriate input, and retune the TV. First of all, connect it to an external antenna, and set it to autotune.

You must configure the ANT/CABLE input source before

programming channels (-left-hand column).

If the ANT/CABLE input signal type is set to Cable, the

automatic channel programming process erases channels

that were previously programmed into the TV's memory.

If the ANT/CABLE input signal type is set to Antenna, the

automatic channel programming process adds newly found

channels to the existing set of programmed channels (and

does NOT erase channels that were previously

programmed into the TV's memory.) To remove an Antenna

source channel from the memory, you must manually delete

it.

To tune the TV to a channel not programmed in the channel

memory, you must use the Channel Number buttons on the

remote control.

Programming channels when the ANT/CABLE input is

configured for Cable will take substantially longer than when

the antenna input is configured for Antenna. This is normal;

however, once channel programming is finished, you should

not have to repeat the programming process again unless
your Cable TV service lineup changes significantly.
Find out the received channels are clear or not. If they are clear, your TV is perfect, and the input device you connects ot the TV is faulty. OK.

I am having trouble recieving over the air digital signals. I have connected a 20 db amplified FM/UHF/VHF antenna to the cable/antenna coax connection, set the input to "TV", and set the TV to...

Hi there,

I believe you have probably selected the wrong TV mode. It seems that you have set the TV to analog mode. It is common for the digital tuning option to be greyed out in analog mode and only becomes available in digital mode. Look for a button on your Sharp remote labelled "DTV" or "DIGITAL" and press this, then open the menu and try the digital setup again. If you don't have one of these buttons, look for a button labelled "INPUT" or "SOURCE" and look for an input or mode called digital or DTV.

I will check on the exact method for your TV and post back with the details shortly.

Regards,
BElectric.

Why won't my new Vizio DTV work on an antenna without the digital box?

Do you have the antenna aimed correctly and the correct antenna for the distance between your location and the stations? Check antennaweb.org and tvfool.com for the directions to the stations you should be able to receive. Antennaweb assumes an external antenna and is very conservative in the station list. TVfool gives the stations you should get with various different types of antennas. Tall trees and buildings will block signal strength so consider the environment around you.

With digital signals, if you do not have enough signal strength for a given tuner, the channel will not come in. An amplifier may help you get the signal, particularly if the signal is shared to several devices. Failure of an amplifier or lightning surge protection can stop the signal from reaching the TV. A surge through the antenna can damage the tuner.

A damaged cable can also be a source of a problem. Check the outside portion of the wire as well as the interior wires. Replace any that have damaged insulation or ends.

For this TV, if you have done a channel scan with the TV set to the Input TV/DTV, and the Signal Source set to Antenna. Turn the antenna and then set the Additional Scan to On. (Menu > TV > Channels > Additional Scan.) Then do another channel scan.

If you need a copy of the manual, see: http://www.vizio.com/m220va.html#support .

Changing to antenna

Firstly, depending which reception area you are in, an indoor antenna may not give you a good signal across all your channels. If in you put the antenna into the aerial connector of the TV & if in your set up menu, there is an Auto tune option then enter this & it will tune in all the channels it can find. If not then select the Manual tune option & you will need to tune each channel as you find them. Follow the on screen instructions as a guide.
