On the wiring harness going to the upper fairing, which wires go to the headlight from the handlebar switch?

Depends a whole lot on which bike you're talking about. Upper/ lowers, it's probably either a Glide or a Wing. Might be BMW... Bet whatever I pick is the wrong one, though.

F5TF-19B132-BA Ford Radio Pin out

The stereo pin layout can be obtained from the car dealership, also a repair manual should have the stereo wiring harness layout in it , the stereo harness adapter for installing non oem stereo, found at the local auto parts store will come with the wiring layout, wires are color coded too, sometimes the stereo harness or stereo harness adapter will have small writing on the wires itself, showing you what that wire is for, and where it should connect.

Basically it comes down to, obtaining the stereo wiring layout, read the description on the wires, and properly connect them together, then solder the wires or crimp them, I like to solder mine with soldering wire for electronics, and put shrink tubes to protect the wires, put the shrink tubes on the wires before soldering together, and ensure the shrink tube is the proper size awg wire gauge.

You will also need, aftermarket face adapter kit and antenna adapter, if installing aftermarket stereo.

Hope this helps and enjoy the stereo :)

Where can I find an engine compartment diagram

is the vehicle able to move ? if so i'd take to a dealer who has the same model and have a look too see the undamaged wires etc as you would be better off with a new loom than trying to repair the wires if it is only at the peripheral end of the electrical system

Brake light doesn't work on my 2008 fxd, running lights are fine

Hi Anonymous, always check fuses and bulbs first for broken filaments. Then check the connection at the rear fender wiring harness, inspect for corroded, broken or loose pins. Use a dab of dielectric grease and repair as necessary. Check your brake relay if you have one , check your brake light switches for continuity, some models rear turn signals were single filament bulbs only, no running light. If all else fails get out your test light and start tracking the power wire from the harness connection. Taillight and blinkers don't turn on but brake light and blinkers work

Hi Rcarp125, sounds like you have a rear fender tail light wiring harness issue. Check that harness connection for corroded, broken or loose connector pins, repair as necessary using a dab of dielectric grease. Hi i have a Codegen model 450x case and i am trying to install a Gigabite GA-P35-DS3R motherboard and am having troulbe with the start switch wires, the cases wires do not matgh the diagram in the...

I'm not sure what you mean when you say the case wires don't match the diagram. You might mean there is already a plug on the end of the wiring, and this plug doesn't match the board header. If you're reusing the case from a name-brand machine like a Dell or HP, this is possible. They often get custom versions of motherboards made, and their front panel connectors are usually a nonstandard layout. On the other hand, in a generic retail case, the front panel wires normally have separate connectors on the ends for the switches, indicator LEDs and any front panel USB and audio jacks.

This is the front panel header diagram I found in the manual for your board (I looked at version 2, but the connections should be the same if yours is a different version):

pgh_pa_guy_3.png

This board has an Intel standard layout for the header. If your wiring has separate connectors, the start (power) switch wires will plug onto pins 3 and 4. I have never seen a retail case come with anything other than a two-pin plug on the end of the power switch.

If you are dealing with a custom plug on your case's wiring, what you can do is remove the pins from the housing. They almost always are held in by a plastic tab on the connector shell that engages a tang on the pin. Use a thin object like a small flat-blade screwdriver or a knife tip to lift the tab and you can slide the pin out. Insulate each pin with small-diameter heat-shrink tubing if you have it, or a layer of electrical tape. (I prefer the heat-shrink tubing, which is neater and more permanent.) Then you can put each pin over the corresponding pin on the motherboard's front panel header. Unless the pins are very loose, they will stay in place by friction. I often use this technique when salvaging a case.

As for the CPU fan, be sure you have the connector over the right pins. Here is the diagram from the manual:

You might need to rearrange the pins in your fan power connector if they don't line up correctly. This layout looks a little strange.

Sorry, not a solution to this car but your other vw 1989 jetta...only way I could get hold of you.

here is your diagram

The following information covers electrical connections and plugs to the rear of the fuse/relay panel. It completes and supplements the information in the appropriate Service or Repair Manual for the fuse/relay panel section and should be used in conjunction with the wiring diagram for the vehicle or system in question. Volkswagen part numbers shown here may or may not match those on your panel, however, if you panel visually matches the diagram, it is correct for your application.
