You have to refresh your system by deleting the old sound card driver in the control panel or add/remove programs . Then restart the pc to detect the old onboard sound card driver. Then install the onboard sound card driver using the supported motherboard cd driver.
That board type does not show on the ASUS web site. I think that your problem may be incompatibility of the RAM with the board specs. Placing faster RAM on the board will not make it go faster.
