Yes. Lay it back side down only, after taping all shelves and loose items inside. It's not a bad idea stand it up several hours before pulgging in if possible to allow any internal oil in the sealed system to return to where it all belongs. (NOTE: often times the manufacturers will have refrigerators or freezers laying down on top of other refrigerators in their delivery trucks.)

How long does it take for my refrigerator to get cold after I tipped it over onto its side?

Its not a good idea laying any fridge down on its side. Especially if its been in use for a few years. Stand the fridge up and DO NOT turn it on or use it for at least 4 or 5 hours.. Refrigerant oil and any residue or dirt in the bottom of fhe compressor leaks out into the operating system of a fridge when you lay them down. You must leave it time to settle and the oil and dirt to sink back into the bottom.. If you don't, there is a real risk that oil or contaminants will block the capillary tube ( Small pipe in the fridge) If this happens, your fridge wont cool.

We cant find this in our manual. we have the probe laying on the tray in the back of the fridge. There is a thing that slides up and down on the right. Should the probe be attached to that? is that our...

Put the probe in the thing that slides up and down. That controls the temperature by sliding it up and down. Don't slide it up too close to the freezer or the fridge won't cool correctly. No more than 2/3 up the fin.

Hi there, I have a Samsung RS21DCNS F/F. and have just moved house and connected it all back up. The LED display lights up, but the fridge and freezers won't cool and there's no motor or fan...

Was the fridge laying down? How long? Rule is if a fridge is laying down for an hour leave standing for a minium of an hour WITHOUT PLUGGED IN. ^hours laying equals 6 hrs standing. I tell everyone give it 24hrs of standing to eliminate problems. If you plugged it in without enough time for the oil in the compressor to return back to the compressor you may have fried your compressor. Now if you did leave it long enough and the oil in the compressor got back in compressor before plugging in. It could be in your defrost timer or your start relay. Does the fan in freezer come on? Push the switch to make the fridge think door is shut. If fan does not run it sounds like the defrost timer. If fan does run the check the start relay on compressor. Does the compressor turn on? Do you hear a clicking sound coming from copressor? If you hear a clicking noise than its your start relay trying to come on. Replace start relay and overload. The model number you gave me is not valid so get the full model number and check thru Searspartsdirect.com
