Loosen the adjuster on one side of the deck and level off the deck and retighten. This should be done on top of a solid surface so u get it perfectly parallel to the ground.

Is there a thunderbird 1600 steering damper?

Has it always done this ? Have you checked the bearings , tyre condition , fork seals , fork air pressures balanced etc ? Have you changed the make of tyre ? Check the Rear end also as it can transpher ! You can buy any damper and make it fit as long as the travel is enough and make clamps !

Proper deck adjustment John Deere L111

FIRST, ensure the tires have the proper pressure within 1 psi.
The deck should be level side to side, measure from the driveway to the bottom lip of the deck with the height selector lever set so the anti gouge wheels suspended in the air. The side to side tolerance is about 1/8" max. Next measure the bottom lip in front and back (center), the front should be 1/8" lower than the rear.
Adjustments are made using the hanger bracket nuts, turn it left and the hanger lowers, turn it right and it raises. Most decks stay adjusted well, it's the tires and loss of pressure that causes poor cutting or wedge shaped rows. Check the air pressure before every cutting, if it's problematic take the tractor (or tires) and have tubes installed with self sealing compound inside such as tire slime.

My 2009 Nightster tire pressure - I'm seeing/hearing/reading different suggestions. I single ride. right now Front tire is 31, rear tire is 40, is this exceptable. Thanks

Yes, this is acceptable. I prefer to set the front tire at 30 and the rear tire at 36 when riding single. It's a matter of ride quality preference. As long as the tires are inflated enough to prevent excessive flexing of the side walls, you are safe. By lowering the air pressure, you get a bit better traction as your tire's "foot print" is a bit larger but it doesn't handle quite as quickly either.

Good Luck

Steering wheel shakes violently when traveling over 55mph. What is the problem.?

front tires need to be balanced, make sure tires still have enough tread and front end does not have any worn parts such as inner and outer tie rods and upper and lower ball joints. also check and correct tires air pressure.

Its not mowing evenly

You need to level the deck. On most mowers you level the deck from side to side evenly but have the front of the deck 1/4" lower than the back.

48 inch deck problems

a lot of problems here.try this.[grass buildup]. usually cause by damp grass or blades not going fast enough to throw into box.engine cutout is then caused by grass jamming blade[s]. backfire is usually too much choke or wrong petrol/air bent grass.try cutting driving in reverse[if strip is wide cos of back tyre then blade is uneven.]

Mowes unevenly. Blades don't match up.

make sure when you replaced the spindles that you used all the washers and spacer bushings back identical to the ones you took off.
Make sure your deck isnt bent for some reason where the spindles mount and or the deck itself
level the deck when its on the mower on a level suface, side to side(level) back to front the back just a little higher than the front 3/8 inch or less
proper air pressure in all 4 tires
Also you could add a washer or take away a waher to allow the blades to become level at mid point meeting?
be sure to torque the blade bolts to 35 ft.lbs also
