Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others
Pitco's are known for this. Locate the high limit. It under your thermostat and has a red reset button that you can push to reset it. Check the wires that come from it and make sure they do not have a broken place in them. If not, you will need a high limit switch for it. What happens is when the high limit gets weak and instead of turning the gas valve off after the oil gets 410 degrees, it cuts it off at a lower temp. As I stated, it's a common problem with Pitco. You can find the part at www.hfse.com . They carry parts for most all make and model unit. Good luck.
