It's either the power supply or motherboard. It could be bad RAM or other components, but first test the power supply.

I went to restart my hp mini last night and I fell asleep before it finished. When I woke up five hours later, it still hadn't shut down. I took the battery pack out to shut it off and now if won't turn...

Take the battery out and hold the power button for 10 seconds. That should reset the computer. If that does not help, take it to a qualified technician as something else has happened.

Emachines t5230 & no power Working fine one day and then no power the next?

Your eMachines features the cheapest power supply in the industry. I have personally replaced 6 of these. You can replace it with a factory unit for $20 or go to your local compter shop, and get a $40 unit that will last until you need a new computer.

( It says... 480Ws but I dont believe it )

Computer will not turn on

Best way to check is to open your case. Near the power supply plug to the motherboard should be a little led light. If it is getting power to the board this light should be green. If it's unlit then most likely your power supply has gone bad. Hope this helps.
