Question about Sony KP-57HW40 57" Rear Projection Television

5 blinks.... My KP-57HW40 turns of for 4 seconds in a bluish pink screen and then goes black. Timer/Standby light blinks four times. I currently watch t.v on a 5" monitor please help!

Thats the error for having a issue with the +5V which can be caused by either the A board or the B Board with the B board being the most likliest cause.

I was watching my kp61v80 and the screen went black-can you give me the trouble codes for the flashing standby light

Please count standby light blinks and let me know.
There would be pause of 3 seconds in blinks.
Also confirm is it Sony KP-57HW40 model?

FIVE Blinks---AKB circuit (AKB), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about
30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with
the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C
board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. Also unit be in IK blanking,
try turning up screen slightly.

6 blinks is usually associated with failure of the horizontal deflection amplifier - which shuts down the high voltage system as well.

The repair requires testing to determine the exact parts that have failed. There are, for example, a few hundred parts and a section of the Jungle IC chip involved. So, repairs could require something as simple as replacing some inexpensive passive components OR as complicated as replacing the jungle chip (very expensive).
