A damsel in distress... cool, I can relate I have an apple computer also and some tech are not too swift all the time - especially when your call gets outsourced to India.... so what I do is just call back until I get someone that sounds competent you should not have to go through this frustrating process... but you are far from being alone.... That being said
if the connection worked the first time then its probably a matter of clearing the computers cache, and browser cache. Also try a different browser! I am sure you will get it to work. Just start fresh, reboot all the units checks the connections. And start over:) You sound like you know what you are doing!!!:) Hope this is helpful:) Thx Don't forget to vote!!
hello, FDC error ( FDC Failure) is usually either improper floppy drive setup - check cablesare connected properly on the motherboard and and in to the floppy drive-inserted all the way in, not in reverse. insure that power cable in connected properly.
Bad controller on motherboard: not much you can do with that but go in BIOS and disable the floppy controller and make sure first boot device is set to hard drive or cd/dvd drive instead of floppy.
As far as performance is concerned your system only has 128 MB ram, i would suggest adding some more. Try crucial.com or ebay for good price should about 15$ 20$ for another 256mb or so.
Go tosystem tools and run disk defragger tool to defrag your hard drive.
download free tool called "tune Xp" and use defrag boot files.
go to start run and type in "msconfig", hit enter
in new open windows click on "startup" tab and uncheck all the application that you don't use everytime your computer starts.
NOTE: Make sure not to uncheck any anti-virus/spyware/firewall software you may have installed.
don't worry you are not deleting anything but just removing things from startup to speed up startup process.
system will require reboot at the end.
i hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi, you probably need to install the right program for your ipod. Its still available on the MAC site. go here and find the one you have and download the appropriate version of itunes. http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/ you can also get the manual there to tell you how to charge it etc. Take note you may be asked for a serial number of your ipod while installing. Itunes its the program that lets you swap out which music you want on your ipod.*S* If your itunes is already installed, you should be able to simply open itunes, and it if it does not show your ipod connected ( on the left side list) then you have to ENABLE that ipod for your computer. Select Edit | Preferences to open iPod preferences. Make sure the iPod tab in preferences is selected and the Music tab is selected under the iPod category. Check the box next to Enable Disk Use.
Once all is installed and enabled you should be able to delete the hanna montanna and drag and drop your own choices to the ipod.
This all asuming that it is working now, and not just a dead battery ok? *s* if your ipod is working fine then it has the right drivers installed and it has to be the itunes program. Thank you and good luck.
