While installing Google Chrome, the installation program detected problems with the file system and wants you to run chkdsk to repair them. Either go to a cmd prompt (or click on Start, Run) and key-in chkdsk /f The /f instructs chkdsk to fix any file system errors it finds as it checks your hard drive, You will receive a message the the disk is currently locked and asking you if you want to run chkdsk the next time the system starts, Respond with Y. Then restart your computer. You will receive a message that a disk check has been scheduled - allow it to proceed. Chkdsk will execute and repair any problems it finds with the file system. After completion, your computer will start up normally. Now you should be able to install Chrome.

You need to run CHKDSK from a command prompt window.

Open the start menu and click 'run.' In the text box, type 'CMD

In the command prompt window type CHKDSK /r and press enter. It will ask if you want to run at next start up enter y and press enter.

PLEASE NOTE there is a space between the K and //.

Reboot PC and CHKDSK will run and fix the error.
