Is it a factory or aftermarket radio? In any case you'll want to check your radio fuses. On aftermarkets there is typically a ten amp fuse bhind the deck and your owners manual will tell you where your factory fuse box is.

My radio on my 2000 ml320 won't power on after getting a jump start

More than likely, you jumped it without Grounding the Jumper Cables to the Chassis and burned out a fuse. Never Place both the Pos and NEG to the Battery, Always Ground to the Car with the Cables on newer cars. you can cause all sorts of problems if you don't.

Ford taurus 2000 ses won't start makes clicking sound when turning the ignition...all power on lights, radio

Hi, this is often caused by a low battery. Try a jump start. If that works, remove the jumper cables and check the voltage at the battery with the car still running. Voltage should be at least 14 volts DC. If not, remove the alternator and have it tested at your local parts chain. If the jump start doesn't work, please get back to me.

A freind went to jump my battery off he reversed his lead on the jumper cables when he went toput on his battery I changed my battery and now the radio won't work

Check your fuses to your radio... the reversed polarity may have been blown... Alot of aftermarket stereos have a fuse in the line to the power of the radio ..be sure to look there too.

Jump start won't work on my 2004 Touareg V6

It all depends on several variables.
  • Were the connections clean? (battery cables and posts
  • Did you have a good connection with the jumper cables? (some battery posts are hard to get at and clamping a jumper cable can be difficult)
  • How long were the jumper cables left on? (weaker batteries will require leaving the jumpers on for a longer period of time (15-30 minutes)
  • Was the other car running? (jumping battery to battery will have the same effect as jumping alternator to battery)
  • Was the car with the dead battery warm or cold? (if the car you're trying to start was hot, it may not be the battery that's at fault
If the car you're trying to start is cold, ensure your battery connections are clean (manually cleaning is better but there are some very good sprays that work pretty well.  Leave the jumpers on for a longer period of time with the other car running.
I hope this solves your problem.  Best of luck.

2002 Stratus Car Battery and Radio

Could be the radio is drawing current. Get an auto electrician to take a look and find the fault.

Jumped dead battery; radio won't work

Sounds like they connected the cables backwards, there maybe a direct fuse on the back of the stereo that got burnt up.If there's not a fuse on the stereo than its probably damaged beyond repair.
