Well beneath the 2 wire system password field you will find a link which says "i forgot my password". click on it and it will show you the hint for the password. if still you cant remember the password then click on the link which says "i still cant remember my password". it will show you a 20 digit number. you will have to contact tech support for 2 wire and give them this number. they will give you a temporary password by which you can login in the 2 wire page.

there is no need to install drivers , for wireless use the 10 digit number key from the bottom of the modem (inside a bracket ) , for configuration , you can do it manually in a hard wired computer by using IE and typing 192.168.1.254 or 10.0.0.1 on address box .

However try this link also:

Hi!
Kindly check if you are using the same 2wire power adapter that came originally with the whole package, also try plugging it in another power outlet, like the kitchen or bathroom, & see how long the power light stays on. Plug it straight in the wall socket. If power light keeps going on/off even if you have plugged it in another power outlet, maybe you need to restore this modem back to its default settings. That can be done by doing a hard reset on the modem, push the reset button (found between the ethernet & usb ports), but be sure you have a record of your username & password on your internet account.

Hi,

XP is an very good OS which will connect with 2wire without any problem.

If your computer is not able to detect modem, pls follow these steps.

* Check for damage of ethernet cable
* Try to reset the modem by using a paper clip punching into the reset button
* Even if your modem is not detected, force the IP and Default gateway

Take care
