Posted on Oct 08, 2009

The timer on my ml600tw will not run. I do not hear it working although I have power and can trip the lights on if I turn the clock. Can you tell me what the problem is? Howard

ML600 won't turn off

The clock module for power pack is not sold separately.
Set timer to auto using override knob so lights are on, then plug power pack into cheap timer.
Check outlet with circuit analyzer.
Try connecting power pack to another outlet.

My ml600tw timer is not working. The unit has power, but the timer will not turn.

If the clock dial is not rotating, the clock motor has gone bad.
Easiest solution is set power pack in override so lights are on, then plug power pack into cheap plug-in timer.
Some people report being able to disassemble clock motor and add vaseline to gears to restore functionality. Other peole report not remembering how all the tiny gears fit back together.
My experience is that once motors slow down and overheat, they never work correctly again.

My Malibu light timer gets stuck at the time they are supposed to turn on AND at the time they are supposed to turn off. So if I turn them on manually, they stay on all night...

The small motor that runs the time clock is bad. If it stops the motor when it comes to the start and stop clips, it's done. Replace it.
