Why does the pressure rise to over 3bar when the central heating is in operation ?

3 Bar = 43.5 PSI When you heat water it always expands increasing pressure.
In a closed vessel volume can increase by 2-3%. Either expansion tanks allow for this and PSI is maintain or without an expansion outlet the PSI will increase in proportion to heat supplied.
Is this a low temp hydronic boiler operating at or <140F, a hi temp hydronic boiler @ >180F or steam boiler?

How to change from ºF to ºC on the UMC-117?

According to the 2012 manual, 'the LED display only shows F.'
Bottom page 65. Yet the F temperatures are also shown as C in the manual.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/How-to-set-Rheem-tankless-temperature.pdf
You probably have different model, or older model?.?
Older manual (page 15) shows same temperature range with both F and C, but typical of Rheem, the manual is totally vague about settings and say that qualified tech needed to adjust temps beyond factory default range (with no mention of display showing C) ... which is safeguard since the damg product cannot always heat water fast enough to reach higher set points above 120F.

Call Rheem 800-432-8373 and give your product serial number and model number located on side of unit, and ask them.

Don't forget to keep the product maintained to avoid common error codes.

Is it possible to lower the top temperature on the thermostate. I can change the lower temp but not the max which I wish to set below the 180 level. Thanks

there is a high and a low limit on these units, the two control knobs are actually the reverse of what you are trying to accomblish, first lower the bottom or low cut off temp first then the high temp ,it must cycle a couple times for it to adjust

How to reinstall heating elements. not sure about the wiring.

The electrical specifications are based on 220 volts. It should be noted that higher voltage will increase power, just as lower voltage will have the reverse effect. The (POWER MODE CONTROL) can be adjusted to compensate allowing the user to increase or decrease water temperature. For best performance adjust temperature at MEDIUM FLOW (approximately 1 GPM) this is the average water flow at any faucet with an aerator.

Remember, that any adjustments made on your unit will take seconds to reach point of use. DO NOT OVER HEAT WATER. Water temperature from 105F to 120F is adequate for all practical purposes

Rheem hot water system- Not getting hot enough.

sound like the mixing valve is damage.. even though the valve is mandatory rheem tankless system don't really need one due to the fact you can set the temp to avoid scalding..these unit will only go up to 120F (48C) The only reason you wll need a mixing valve is when you store water because you have to mantain a temp to kill bacteria and since there is no storage on the tankless it just does not make sense to have one. also you can turn down the temp on the control at anytime to any desire temp..this is a plumbing regulation in many part of the world that need to be look at a little more carefully..not only where you live.

Hot water out of taps is not very hot.

What is hot? Above 122F causes scald within 30 seconds. Get a temperature reading at tap. Use a candy thermometer if need be. If you want 140F water then your gas valve needs replacing.
In most code areas it is now illegal to deliver tap water over 125F to a consumer faucet.
You may love 140F but you jeopardize kids and Seniors.
