I have a packard dell windows 98 when i turn tower on my moniter says please cheak signal cable sumvision how do i fix it. ive not had computer long an ive never been able to go on it because it says cheak signal cable please help thanks.

in control panel, select the power Options,, Change the preffered plans to HIGH PERFORMANCE then click on change plan settings, change turn of diaplayto never and put computer to sleep never... Remember to turn on your screen saver and put the pc to sleep manually when not using it.

Hi. Just Plugin the signal cable of your HP flat screen into the VGA port at the back of your dell optiflex computer, look for a blue port on the back with fifteen holes on it and that should be your VGA port. Hope this Helps
Typically, it's a memory problem. If you have multiple memory modules, leave one in the CPU at a time and boot your system todetermine which module is bad. Good luck.
1. cpu problem. why because of there is no signal output from cpu to monitor. the led blinking means there is no vertical, horizontal signals from cpu to monitor.
2. your monitor connected to another system.
3. neck board dry points.
4. cheak the display cable. 13&14 pins are horizontal, vertical signals.1, 2, 3 pins , R G B , 6 ,7, 8 pins R G B ground ( coaxiler cable used , meshed wire is ground )
