Question about HP w1907 LCD Monitor
The hp w1907 computer monitor won't switch on but the computer turns on with the blue light showing it's on.
Your monitor could possibly have a backlight problem.. the wires to the lights are known to come off the lights in the screen.. if you try to check it your self be careful the lcd screen and lights are very frigile, nad can brake easly..

It acts like it is not getting signal from the video card or it goes into shutdown mode to protect itself.
Try it on another PC first, if it still does not work then you will need to open iy up.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed HP monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.
