Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
You can simply go to your printer manufacturers web site and download , so you can get the needed software for it and install it to your computer....

You do not say what model printer it is so I will give you a link to several manufacturer's sites:
HP Support Enter your model # in the box and then the >>. You may have to select a certain model from a list. Main support will come up. Click on Software & Driver Downloads. Then choose your Operating System (OS). Available downloads will be listed.
Canon Support Enter your model number in the Search box and click search. Click the Drivers and Downloads link. Select your OS from the drop-down menu. A list of available software will be listed.
Epson Support Click on Printers>View All. Select your printer from the list.Click on Drivers & Downloads. Select your OS from the drop-down menu. (Windows or Mac.) Then click Go. Again a list of software wil be given to download.
Dell Support Click on Drivers & Downloads. Click Select Model. Click Printers. Verify by clicking Printer. Select your model number from the list. Click Confirm if correct. Select yor OS from the drop-down menu. I believe the default is XP.
Those will cover about 95% of the printers out there.
A few notes:
1) Make sure of the setup instructions. Some begin with the computer ON and others OFF. Some begin with the USB cable connected and others OFF. Most of those support pages will have a manual or documentation link.
2) When you get to a download window, it is best if you SAVE it to your computer desktop instead of Running it. Once downloaded you can begin the software install by double-clicking the file on the desktop.
Hope this gets you going. Whever you need help from Fixya, please include as much information about your product as possible. It really helps.
