Forget the cord. Use a card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

My Dell 942 All-in-One does not recognize the FinePix E550 card. I'm not sure what I need to download to be able to transfer my pix to printer. This camera was given to me recently and I don't have the usb...

You need to install the camera software on the computer then print from there but you will need a USB cable to connect to the printer, just check your camera does not require a special Fuji cable. Or possibly a card reader direct to the printer will work but I am not sure on that one, see printer manufactures for information on this. Good luck

I lost the cord that connects the camera to the computer to transfer pictures onto the computer where can I find another cord ? are the cords specific to each camera or is there a universal cord?

You can easily find a USB chord on the nearest electronics store, Yes it is universal. While you dont have the cord, you can use a memory card reader to transfer your images/videos/other files from your camera to your computer.

We have lost the cord to download pictures off of our Fuji Fine Pix S5000 camera - where can we purchase this cord?

Go to a computer store or Radio Shack store and get a USB to camera cord. Take the camera with you to make sure the USB carmera jack fits your camera. These are pretty common cables. The cable should cost less than $6.00.

Got no more driver cd finepix j12

If you plug the camera in, go to My Computer and open the camera from there.  That should allow you to copy the files or pictures from the camera right to your computer.  You can also get the drivers you need from Fuji's website.

CD software and USB Cable

If you have a Card reader where you can put the memory card of your camera on it that will do the trick in transferring pictures from the camera to the computer and vice versa, but the best way that you can do is to buy a USB cable for your camera there are generic type of USB cable that are use for camera and its pretty cheap and for the software you can download it from Fuji's web site..

Hope that helps..........
