Question about Humax DRT400 TiVo 40-Hours Video Recorder
My 4-year old Humax is suddenly giving me problems. When I inserted a DVD last night, the machine went into "loading" mode and then booted out. Then it just kept recycling through the boot-up process. I unplugged it overnight to see if that would help, but the same problem exists today. Help!
It's most likely your hard drive. It has to be functional for the DVD portion to work. It can be replaced by a preconfigured kit or buy a new drive and do it yourself. You can also send it to places like CCS in Indiana that will thoroughly test out the unit and give you options.
