I measured the voltages of the power supply, and I found out that when I power it up, voltages coming out of the PS are trying to get up to their normal, but they cannot, and the the relays click and ps shuts down. However, when I unplugged the 65 v supply (cn 8005) and turned the tv on, the voltages coming out of the PS remained on, and the PS didn't shut down. CN8005 65v supply leads to a circuit board located horizontally at the bottom of the plasma screen, and it is connected to the screen.

Could that board be the problem? Where can I get replacement ?, Or could the plasma screen itself be bad?

    Any solutions?

The squil could be a cold solder joint on the heatsink.Pull the board or boards, out enough to see if a cold solder joint on a heat sink is there. The factory sometimes mess up.If you find a cold solder joint on the back side, underneath a heat sink, just clean the area real good(use contact cleaner)and resolder the heat sink leg, back to the board.Hopefully this was helpful.

Balast may be the squeal, an overheated capacitor, or a relay itself. You can test each with an ohmmeter to determine which is faulty. The most common cause is a faulty power supply, due to faulty internal capacitors

I've replaced every board on the samsung plasma and still clicks

What do you mean by clicks? Plasma televisions are hot cathode ray, there is thermal expansion that takes place due to heat.

502 plasma is making a clicking sound and will not come on

This clicking sound Boss, is coming from the power supply inside the unit. This means there is trouble on the line inside, now what board is in trouble would need further diagnosis. We hope you understand we cannot give a real 100 percent answer to what is the actual cause without looking at the unit.
Most plasma Tv's operate with a series of boards inside the unit to make the magic happen. A simple relay clicking noise tells us that there is a issue with one of the boards inside the unit but does not tell us witch one.
Most TV's do have a standby SOS light that would give you a series of blinks, this would tell us what issues the TV has. Can you tell us if you got any standby light., what are they doing, how many blinks?
Thanks for using fixya.com

Best of luck to you

I replaced main power unit and and formatter PWB but I cannot keep tv on. It turns on, I hear some buzzing then a faint click followed by an immediate louder cllick and powers off alltogether? Need help...

If power supply is good and voltage measures out ok. Also check any relays or capacitors. If LCD, check caps, if projection, check bulb and high-voltage transformer and flyback with a voltmeter.
Capacitors are the most common reason for failure in today's electronics.

Toshiba Color TV Relay clicks slowly. TV does not come ON.

Electrolitic Capasitors in the power supply going or being bad will cause this. At some point a low value resister also will start to run hot or burn up. I believe it it a 16v 1500 uf cap near the relay. I would also replace any 10uf 160v caps in the powersupply too.
Hope this Helps,

Plasma model ciwp4206 made by funai (inside samsung plasma)doesnt turn on, light blinks 9 times then nothing. thanks in advance

Remove diodes D2500 and D2501 (which are only protection, making the TV goes to standby instead of powering on) from the main power supply board. If the light does turn to a green one instead of going back to standby and you have the sound but no image, it should be the same problem as I had, which seems to be frequent with these Funai piece of junk.

You need to replace the ceramic capacitor C2258 on the main power supply board, it should be the faulty part as it was on mine. This capacitor is near an aluminium heatsink and was slightly burnt.

Here are the specs of that part from the service manual:
C2258 CAP CERAMIC HV 3300pF 2KV R K

As I didn't find a capacitor with these specs, I put two capacitors in parallel and it works fine now. Good luck!

VIDEO BOARD

Your tv is going into an error protection mode upon startup. The problem is probably not the video board. When the tv starts, it checks with the cpu to confrim voltages, if a voltage is off or there is a short somwhere, it will prevent the tv from starting up by clicking the relays to power off the high voltage of the tv. The problem could be the power supply, zsus board or ysus. Its hard to say without opening up the back of the set and testing some stuff with the meter, but normally its just a shorted cap, worst case you blew out a fet.. But easy to find if you know what your looking for.
