I'm sorry to hear that you lost your key. I found
this page on Microsoft's site talking about problems with keys. I know that the header says it's about invalid keys, but if you read it, you'll find the info about lost keys.
According to Microsoft, you need to have your CD in front of you, then go
here to contact their technical support. Enter your region, then your product, and follow the directions. The first page I linked to says that you may have to give them the number that is located on the inner circle on the disc. They also state that a fee may apply to obtain a product key.
I know that when I have lost product keys in the past, they also required me to send them a scan of my CD, to prove I have a valid copy. But that may be a thing of the past.
