Paper not being pulled in

When I click the printer to print, the printer begins to work as usual; however, it has stopped pulling or sucking the paper in. Is there anything I can do short of having it repaired? I would think that repairing it would be more costly than purchasing a new one.

Re: paper not being pulled in

If this is an older printer then try roughing up the feed wheels with abrasive paper.
Also make sure the feed/delivery trays are correctly engaged
A simple knock will put them out of true.
A repair shop - is not an option- printers are considered 'consumable' these days like so much other small electrical stuff.

Here is your solution... so follow the instruction step by step.. 1. With the printer turned on, unplug it 2. Open the top and bring the ink cartridge holder to the middle 3. Raise the gray bar and remove the print head assembly with the cartridges in it 4. Lower the gray bar with the head missing and close the top with the head out 5. Restore the power, wait til the printer wakes up 6. It will tell you to put in the cartridges 7. Restore the print head, close the top and the printer should resume working..... good luck...

The paper is stop in the printer

open the printer remove the toner and slowly pull the paper out. Pull in the natural printing direction of the printer, so if the printer pulls the paper from top-tray to bottom-tray when printing you should pull the paper from the bottom tray outwards

Error message says"out of paper" when paper tray is fully loaded

check and make sure that the paper is in near the rollers enough that it senses the paper and picks it up. try lightly pushing the paper down toward the rollers as it is suppose to pull one sheet through the feeder. hopefully, you didnt pull too hard on getting the 'jammed' paper out that it may have caused a misalignment in the feeder. try assisting the paper, that usually fixes it. hope this helps!

The problem is software rather than mechanical operation. Uninstall the printer driver from the Add/Remove section of the Control Panel. Pull out the USB port and replace it back. This will prompt you pc to install the driver of the newly found hardware. Reinstall the printer driver. Should your printer be observed to have the usual problem, replace both cartridges with a one. "Loading paper" problem feedback is the same prompt as what you get when cartridges are old or refilled with unauthentic ink.

Paper won't feed.

I was not familiar with this model and pulled out a paper jam from the front. I now know this is a BIG NO-NO.

It now will take the paper to the beginning print position, sounds like it is printing but paper does not move any further - ever.

The paper only feeds part way and then stops. Red light comes on

Following a suggestion on another post, I tilted my printer so it is at a slight angle backwards, higher at the front. So far this has worked.....

Heavy weight paper

Hi it would appear that the paper is too heavy for the machine check the manual as it will have the spec on what paper can be used and also how heavy the paper could be.

Sorry I cannot be anymore help but try using a paper that is about 10-20 gsm lighter.

Thanks J
