Question about Ricoh Aficio CL3500N Laser Printer
RICOH AFICIO 3500N RESET PCU ERROR FOR COLOR PHOTOCONDUCTOR UNIT. KEEP PULLING IT OUT AND RESETTING BUT ERROR KEEPS COMING UP. FIRST HAD A PAPER JAM AND CLEARED THAT, USED CANNED AIR TO CLEAR ANY DEBRIS AND TONER IN PAPER PATH, PAPER JAMS RECURRED. OPENED PRINTER AND PULLED THE PCU'S TO SEE IF ANY PAPER IN THAT PATHWAY, WHEN I PUT THE PCU'S BACK, AM GETTING THIS ERROR. COULD IT BE TONER DUST ON THE CONTACTS?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You get this message because the PCU isn't seated properly. This is a link for the user manual for this printer: http://www.ricoh-usa.com/downloads/manuals/printers/cl2000.pdf On page 13 shows a diagram that indicates the photoconductor unit on the printer. Page 60 shows you different error messages, what they mean and how to fix it. It means you have to take out the pcu and reseat it into the printer, it is not in correctly. Page 29 shows you how to do this. It has pictures of how to take out the pcu and put it in correctly. I hope you get it fixed.

SOURCE: Ricoh Aficio CL3500N PCU issues
These machines were actually made by Panasonic and they eat PCU's there is no rhyme or reason, they just do. I would replace all of them as soon as possible. These printers were pretty much interim technology for Ricoh until they developed thier own engine. I highly recommend the new 400 color series, low cost per page, vg color and consumables last a long time!

The PCU is the photconductor unit. There is a black pcu and a color pcu. Did you replace these or replace the toner cartridges??

SOURCE: RICOH Aficio 150 Paper Jam Reset
There is not a reset for jams in service mode. Did you open and close all the doors and make sure they are closed all the way. Most likely you still have a small piece of paper left some where in the paper path or you may have a broken sensor flag.

Hello sir; The procedure little bit difficult, Remove PCU, remove the front cover(two screws), remove the rear bushing by remove one lock ring, remove the front joint, remove the developer hopper cover( 3 hook ) dump the old one out vacuum entire unit ( magnet roller ), fill in new developer, replace hopper cover, after replace PCU and developer you need to do some simulation, #1, press "clear mode" "107" and press hold "clear/stop" for 3 seconds, then touch screen on "copier sp". #2, enter sp3902-9 to1 for black drum unit, sp 3902-10 to 1 for yellow, sp3902-11 to 1 for cyan, sp3902-12 to 1 for magenta, #3, enter 3902-005 for black, 3902-006 for yellow, 3902-007 for cyan, 3902-008 for magenta, set 3902 to 1 for each of these if replaceing developer, press "exit" twice to end the service.
