As per my assumption the default OS on this system is Windows Vista, and it is set to safe boot option in system configuration:

You can try the following steps to resolve it:

  1. Click on Start button (Pearl).
  2. In the white line (Start Search) area, type msconfig and press Enter.
  3. Click on Continue in the UAC prompt.
  4. System configuration Window will open
  5. Click on the Boot tab. (See screenshot below) will only work in safe mode. got no virus - 38d1894.jpg
  6. UnCheck Safe boot.
  7. Click on OK and restart the computer.
Hope this resolves your issue.

Thank you for using Fixya

There is no way to fix this outside of safe mode. If it is that serious, then you have to get into safe mode or reset the entire software.

Keyboard not functioning

The whole keyboard does not work? I know of nothing that disables the whole keyboard, except a virus.

Have you tried using the keyboard in Safe Mode to see if it works. If it works in Safe Mode, that means a virus has hijacked your keyboard.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn itback on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFEMODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will lookdifferent to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this isnormal.

My keyboard in my revo rl100 doesn't work

Sounds like the battery in the keyboard is dead. Also make sure you have the wireless doggle that came with the keyboard and mouse plugged into the usb port. You might try plugging it into another port.

I'm thinking your keyboard is dead because of the battery or a virus has hijacked your keyboard.

Try booting up in Safe Mode to make sure it's not virus related. Turn the computer off, then turn it on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Select the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different because the icons are bigger and the screen is darker, this is normal. If your keyboard works in safe mode then you might have a virus that can't function in safe mode.
