When I pull the trigger on the wash cycle, no water/cleaning solution comes out. However, the water comes out fine when it is in the rinse position. We cannot find any clogs. When I go to refill the clean water tank, it bubbles up as though there is soap in it, even though there are two separate compartments for clean water and soap.
With this model, the soap dispensed is controlled by electric solenoids. these can be tricky to troubleshoot. I would take it to your nearest dealer. these solenoids fail, and cause a variety of symptoms.

The upholstery attachment will not slide down and gets stuck because the space is tapered and the connector is not. Is there some other way of attaching? Brute force does not work.

The middle brush on the 5-brush block fell out of our Hoover steamvac F5914900 as well. We put it back in and it just keeps falling out. We have only had it a little over 2 months. I will try to get it fixed under the warranty, though I'm cautious that they'll consider this a "wearable part" and charge us for the repairs. We'll see!
