Sounds like your problem may be a broken belt.
If you have to replace your drum belt and if you have a front loading machine.
First you will need to unplug your dryer from the electric.
Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley.
While you have the drum out, I would also recommend that you lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil. This will save you problem later with the rollers getting noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a noise like a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.
If the problem is the motor then you will have everything disassembled so you can remove and replace the motor.
Good luck,
I hope this helps

When I turn the power button on the timer light flashes. How do I make the CD work?

Sounds like you need to turn the timer off, or leave it running until the timer finishes. Do you have the make and model? If not supply make and model.

I have connected the timer to the power source etc as directed. The red light comes on, indicating there is power--my model does not have a timer "on/off" switch so I cannot begin programming,...

You have to identify timer.
Say which buttons are on timer face and what wires the timer has.
What red light comes on?
Add a comment with specific information so I can identify the timer.

Intermatic, Brinks, Aube and UPM timers wire differently than other timers.

Swylightlight, Wattstopper, Leviton, Lutron, Woods, GE, Utilitec, Hagar, Sylvania, Westek, Intermatic (no battery) are generally wired in following manner:

1) Timer-green-wire connects to bare ground wire.
2) Switch has 2 wires. Take switch wires and connect to timer-black-wire and timer-red-wire (sometimes this is blue wire). Choose either wire for now.
3) In back of electric box are white wires twisted together and covered with wire nut. Connect timer-white wire to these wires.
4) If electric box does not have white wires described above, then connect timer-white to bare ground wire along with green wire.
5) Turn on electricity, and push ON-OFF button, or activation button. If lights come on, timer is wired correctly. If lights do not come on, then reverse timer-red and timer-black wires.

If timer is wired correctly, and timer does not work, then timer is defective.

How do u wire a three phase squirrel cage motor with a motor starter with a remote start/stop/inch station and warning indicator light ?

You would first run a conductor fromL1 to L1 on the motor start then run a second conductor from L2 to L2 on the moter starter, then run a third conductor from L3 to L3 on the moter starter. next run L1 and L2 to a step down transformer so you can reduce your working voltage to 120vac, then run a conductor on one of the outputs from the step down transformer to one side of the normally closed contacts on the STOP push button, from the other side of the stop button run a wire to one side of the start button, on the other side of the start push button run a wire to one side of the magnetic motor starter coil, the other side of the coil run a wire to the other empty terminal on the transformer, this will be the neutral wire. next you need to run a wire from the normally open contactor on the magnetic moter starter to one side of your push button start switch, then run one wire from the other side of the start push button switch to the other side of the normally open contacts on the magnetic moter starter, this is your start switch latch that will keep the motor running when the start push button is released.I'm not sure how you need the warning indicator light wired up, so please reply and let me know when it needs to come on and go off

I have an old Searsd Coldspot upright freezer, Thr

on the side of both defrost controls is a diagram black is normally power white is normally nuetral wire the black wire will go to the center of the switchs defrost heater
will be on one side compressor to the other white to the clock moter green was hooked to the metal case if you have a mutitester the clock moter will have constant continuity even after the timer has been turned till it clicks the heater will go on the contacts that have continuity for the shortest amount of time
on the back of most older units was a wiring diagram constant defrost has power even when t-stat is set to off
cumulative the defrost only has power when compressor is running the diagram on old defrost timer should be simaler to the diagram on the old defrost timer the lighter colered tab is normally white wire
hope you have a tester but if you are inclined hook up black and white only turn control till clicks when you have the black wire in the correct position the moter will run no matter where the control is turned
then find wire that starts compresser it will need to be placed on the switch that maintains contact the longest leaving the
heater wire to hook to the contact that stays closed for 20 to 30 minutes
most defrost controls wire the same be careful wiring is 120 volt

Need to pull moter out. does it come out the top or bottem?

If you are taking it out of a minivan, the easiest way would be to disconnect the entire front end (suspension) and lift the van - pull the old engine off, install new one, lower van, reconnect everyting. Check first to see if the cross memeber is welded on one side. I had an 87 Buick Century that I had another engine put into, and they were gonna take it from under the car, as I mentioned above, and when i looked underneath, the cross member was welded on one side, and bolted on the other. Very strange if you ask me. I think raising the vehicle (if you have a lift or jacks and jack stands to get it high enough. I hope this was helpful.
