My fender rumble 100 used to cut out, now it's

My fender rumble 100 used to cut out from time to time. Then it got more frequent. Now it's just not working at all. In it's dying stages there would be a popping sound when the signal was lost. What is wrong with it?

Have you checked the input jack's solder joints? Tried another instrument cable? Are you sure it's not your bass? Have you checked the connections on the speaker?

Suspect the input jacks. Wiggle them and see if you get anything. They get yanked sideways because the musicians don't loop their cord thru a handle and they get yanked sideways.

Also you can try spraying sparingly CRC226 into the switches and pots. You can get it at Home Depot in the electrical department.

It plays for about 30 minutes and then just stops, as if overheating. After a cooldown period, it starts up again for another short period. Suggestions? Any recommended vents I could cut in...

The small Fender products often have a TDA2050 power chip in them. The chip is on a thin aluminum heatsink and is intended for light use. If you try to sound like a bass guitar amp with this, the chip will go into thermal protection mode. Cutting vents will not help very much, and pushing it to these levels will destroy the speaker eventually. If you need more power, buy a bigger amp. This one would be suitable for a 10 foot by 10 foot room.

HI CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHY MY FENDER RUMBLE 100 BASS AMP DISTORTS AT LOW VOLUME? EVEN THOUGH THE SPEAKERS IS NOT BLOWN

A common reason for 'distortion' with all bass amps can be either that the screws holding the speaker unit to the cabinet have worked loose or that there has been a build up of dust particles in the corrugations around the edge of the speaker cone, which rattle especially on the lower notes.
The solution is simple - remove the front grille and check the screws are tight. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the rim of the speaker cone.

My Fender Rumble 25 makes a terrible crackling sound when the volume is turned up over the 4 or 5 mark. I don't think the speaker is blown as the same sound comes via the headphone socket.

Here is the schematic:http://www.fender.com/support/amp_schematics/pdfs/Rumble_Bass_Schematic_-B21.pdf Check the tubes to see if one is loose in its socket. Do not attempt to repair this yourself unless you have amplifier repair experience as it is easy to get a bad or life threatening shock without the correct test gear and troubleshooting procedures.I hope this helps.

I have a rumble 100 bass amp which used to work fine until now! I've had it about 2 months and have only played it about a dozen times. Today, while practicing with a new band, 90% of volume got lost. Now...

It unfortunately sounds like a blown speaker. Try getting at the speaker and gently moving the cone with your fingers. If you feel a rubbing sensation you will most likely have to consider a new speaker. Make sure you get one with the same impedance (ohms) and the same or better power handling.

Not really a problem want to know if I could add a extention speaker to the fender rumble 100 combo it has not ext. speaker out looking to add two 10 inch and if so how?

Hi there. If 10" speakers are 8 or 16 ohm, parallel them. If they are 4 ohm, series them. if "External speaker" output is rated down to 4 ohm. If no external speaker jack, you'll have to tap into existing speaker jack with a "Y". Check the minimum ohm load for the amp.
Thanks
Paul
