Question about Jenn-Air JDS9860AAS Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range
I have a JDS9860AAP stove. I have nade the change-over to LPgas as recommended in the manual. I have also replaced the leftside grill with with the sealed burner module. My problem is that on light-off the rear burners in particular start with a nice blue flame with red tips but after a few minutes deteriorate to a very red flame as if from air starvation. The air ports are fully open. The right rear is most severely affected. I have tried removing the lower housing of the burner, shimming the top of the module to get more air to no avail. Solution?? thanks in advance. Gerry

You can purchase a 2 burner cartridge. However, the problem I'm having with that is the gas is too high and is unable to cook anything on low.

this could be servel different problems, most of which are fairly simple. however, with LP you may be better off contacting your LP gas supplier to see if they can check it for you.

SOURCE: Burner controls
if you remove the knobs from the unit nad look closely doen the shaft of the protruding valve stem you should be able to see a slot for a regular screwdriver to fit down, its gonna have to be long adn thin but that is the flame adjustment screw,
put the flame down to low and use a pair of pliers to hold the valve stem from turning as you try to adjust the screw, turn it very slowly you seel an adjustment happen (dont really know if its counter clockwise or clockwise, but youll figure it out playin gwith it for a bit, just remember to hold the shaft from turnig, and although your turninf the valve down to simmer it does not afffect the high setting

I had the same issue with washing the top with water and cleaning solution. I had arching, eventually one burner failed to ignite. I tried the above solution and it did not work. Remove the ceramic top on the burner that will not ignite. Turn on another working element. Do you see the igniter working?
If so slowly turn on the gas on the failed burner and it will ignite. I'm looking into what component automatically controls the igniting and gas release when the knob is turned on.
