Question about Landice L7 LTd Pro Sports Trainer Treadmill

1 Answer

My L7 has been running just fine. Today it would stop durning the program (with speed about 2.5) and then start back in a few seconds. It slows down like it is getting stuck or bogged down but only for a few seconds (max5-10 sec)then goes back up to the set speed. I set it a 3mph and let it run and this did not occur, but at 2,5mph and 2mph this happens? Otherwise it is quiet and seems to be normal.

I cleaned and lubed the track and adjusted the belt. It passed the slip test , however this morning when I ran the program again (30min P1 max speed 3.7mph) it stopped 3 times in the first 5 min starting almost immidiately, 5 times in the next 5 min and then it did not stop again until 23 min into the program and again at 27 min into the program, again starting back almost immidiately?

Not sure how long or often this is used, but you may just have to do a maintance on it. In your manual it will show you but all it sounds like is the tracks need cleaned and oiled. The slowing down will show up at slower speeds first due to the fact that the motor is not turning as fast and will feel the drag of dry or dirty tracks. When you are going faster this will not be noticed as much since the motor is spinning faster it will over come slight resistance. So try cleaning and oiling the tracks as per your manual and your problems should be solved. You may also have to adjust the tension on the belt

Sounds like you have done everything right so far. The next thing would be check the electrical connections are all still good and tight. If they are loose this could cause the problem. But it sounds more like something in the motor itself, that is causing it to need to warm up before operating properly. This could be the brushes or the armature. If it is under warranty take it in. If not call around your area for a shop that repairs that type of equipment. This is something that can be repaired and you do not have to purchase a new machine.Wish you luck and leave a comment if any other questions.

My treadmill runs for 9 secons and stops and shows E1

Ok. So the first thing to try is to calibrate the speed.
You do this by doing the following:
  • With the SAFETY KEY in place, hold the ELEVATION UP and SPEED DOWN buttons for five seconds. The console will beep twice, "ENG0" will appear in the Distance window, and a number will appear in the Elevation window.
  • Press SELECT until "ENG3" appears; this is for Auto-Calibration.
  • Press START to Auto-Calibrate.
  • The treadmill will calibrate minimum and maximum speed, and minimum and maximum elevation. When Auto-Calibration is complete, the treadmill will reset to User's start screen. This process takes three to five minutes.
Make sure there are no errors. . .and that the speed goes from super slow to super fast and then stops. . .. if it stays slow. . or stays fast. .or error code appears during calibration, there is a problem.
If after a good calibration sequence, if it still does the stopping and E-1 after 10 seconds. ., then you need to (Power off and disconnect treadmill). . .then unplug the speed sensor from the lower power board, blow into the connector on the wire, and add a little contact cleaner spray to the connector on the board.
Recap: If it actually runs. . .but stops after a few seconds. . but the calibration runs and passes fine. .. .more than likely it is a speed sensor misread or a faulty speed sensor.

Is this a gasoline powered motorcycle/scooter? If so and if you got off in dirt, the carburator may have dirt in it. Drain the gasoline, clean the jets in the carburator and try again. If its electric, sorry, can't help!

If it's stopping during a wash cycle, suspect the heater elemant not heating up and moving the controller on. See if it runs fine during a spin/drain cycle. If it is very slow on all programs, try the noise filter capacitor before condemning the controller.
